Understanding Intellectual Property

STA is pleased to partner with IP Australia for an exclusive members only webinar. 

The session will cover an introduction to Intellectual Property (IP), followed by 15 minutes facilitated Q&A. If the IP Australia presenters are unable to answer all the questions during the session they will respond afterwards in writing. 

 

The objective of this session is to build understanding of IP and how it might be applied within your business plan, marketing and contracts.

 

This presentation will cover the basics of Intellectual Property rights.

  • Registered rights - Trade marks, Patents, Designs and Plan Breeder’s Rights, and a brief overview of unregistered IP Copyright, Trade Secrets and Circuit Layout
  • The difference between business names, domain names and trade marks
  • Examples of IP in everyday life.
