Celebrating 25 years in 2025, Science Meets Parliament is a professional development and networking opportunity presented by Science & Technology Australia.
In 2025, we're pleased to offer the option of one or two day registrations to attend the event in Canberra.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE
- Meetings between delegates and Parliamentarians will only take place on day two. Attendees must register for two days if they wish to participate in the meeting program.
- Tickets to attend the National Press Club address are limited, and not included in any registration type. They may be purchased separately by delegates. The National Press Club address will take place on day one of SMP.

ONE DAY REGISTRATION
Day one of SMP will include the high-energy professional development that SMP is best known for. This registration is for people who want to understand how to interact with government, learn how successful advocacy is achieved, how to speak about their own science with confidence - and network with Australia's STEM leadership.
Registration includes:
- Access to online runway sessions which will be available in the week prior to SMP;
- Attendance at day one of Science Meets Parliament 2025 (at Hotel Realm);
- Opportunity to purchase ticket to attend National Press Club address (at the National Press Club of Australia)
- One ticket to attend the SMP2025 gala dinner - Celebrate science with a Night at the Museum (at the National Museum of Australia).
TWO DAY REGISTRATION
Delegates will attend the entirety of SMP. This includes includes the high-energy professional development that SMP is best known for on day one, the celebration gala dinner, and day two in Australian Parliament House. Any delegate who opts in to have a meeting with a Parliamentarian MUST attend day two.
Registration includes:
- Access to online runway sessions which will be available in the week prior to SMP;
- Attendance at day one of Science Meets Parliament 2025 (at Hotel Realm);
- Opportunity to purchase ticket to attend National Press Club address (at the National Press Club of Australia)
- One ticket to attend the SMP2025 gala dinner - Celebrate science with a Night at the Museum (at the National Museum of Australia);
- Attendance at day two of Science Meets Parliament 2025 (at Australian Parliament House)
- Option to meet with a Parliamentarian during day two of the program.
